Get to know us!

We take pride in being a family owned small business established in 2001. We acquired our Center as a daycare with 8 children, birth to 5 years of age, and have grown into an Infant/Toddler and Preschool Center serving more than 90 families around the Bay Area. Our philosophy is inspired by a combination of the Reggio Emilia Approach which focuses on relationships & an Emergent Curriculum methodology which stems from a style of teaching and curriculum planning that focuses on being responsive to children's interests to create meaningful learning experiences. At the core of our philosophy we focus on building and sustaining relationships between Family and Caregiver, Caregiver and Child, and amongst the Children, which is critical for every child’s growth and development.

What makes us unique?

Communication

Our program provides parents and families with an app based  platform  “BRIGHTWHEEL”. Through brightwheel, parents can receive updates on their child’s meals, napping, play time, and curriculum in the classroom. It also provides direct communication to your child's teacher through our messaging platform.

Atelierista

This term stems from our reggio-emilia inspired approach to learning. Our Atelierista works directly with classroom teachers, and also simultaneously with teachers and students, developing, constructing, and facilitating learning experiences that combine the child’s interest with developmentally appropriate learnings. Each teacher brings their own personality and characteristic to our team.

Organic & Multicultural Food Menu

We believe that proper nutrition can help establish a foundation for healthy eating habits. We provide a mostly organic and home made menu that incorporates foods from all over the world.

Teamwork

Our program takes pride in hiring a diverse staff uniquely picked for each classroom. We embrace all cultures, ethnicities, values, and religions. Each teacher brings their own personality and characteristic to our team

What People Are Saying

“I cannot speak highly enough about Love & Care Learning. Every interaction that we have had has been positive. My older son started in the 1's transition class and has moved up as he has grown. All of the teachers since he has started have been hands-on, friendly, always open to communicate with us about him and I feel so relieved that he has such caring teachers around him all day. The teachers seem like they are friends and all enjoy each other’s company too.

My daughter started this year during Covid which was not ideal, but they have handled this pandemic in the best way we could have hoped. They are responsible for sanitation and mask-wearing, all while maintaining care as they have been able. They also seemed to have really tried to take care of the teachers when everything shut down, which we really appreciated.

Neda and Jess are great directors and always available if we have needed them.

I could go on and on. The art projects, outdoor play, parent-teacher reviews conferences, and weekly/monthly photo journals are all just some of the reasons we love this daycare.”

“We've had three children at this daycare center, and each year I am even more impressed with their love and care.  Especially in this global pandemic, they were exceptionally fast to respond with processes and protocols to keep their teachers and children safe, I don't know what we would do if they weren't open as both my husband and I work full-time.

Our two older children (now in 1st and K) are so incredibly well prepared for school, both of their teachers have asked "where did they go before?"  In this virtual school environment, we're EXTRA grateful that they had such fantastic academic and social skills preparation.

If there's an opening for your child, and you're reading this, TAKE the opening!!”

“Our 2.5-year-old daughter has been at Love & Care since she was 13 weeks old and we couldn't be happier. Neda and Jess (the head of the school) are involved, caring and accessible to all the parents and the kids light up whenever they see them. My daughter (and her parents) have adored every teacher she has had through the infant, 1s and now 2s room. Her social skills, intelligence, ability to follow directions, and manners grow leaps and bounds each day, and trust me, it is Love & Care making all this happen. For 2 years now, each day we are wowed with the skills our daughter comes home with. Added to the amazing program, the fact that the center is open from 6:45 am - 6 pm and provides nutritious lunches and snacks makes it a godsend for working parents.”
